Long overdue…
Are you ready for this week’s random ten? Well, are you? If you recognize the song and the artist, put it in the comments.
- “To you, the next best thing to playing and winning is playing and losing.”
- “If you want out, just say you want out and I’ll be on my way.”
- “My love is wandering starflight.”
- “We don’t care about no government warning.”
- “Father, Son, and Holy Smokes – just get them to the church on time.”
- “Nobody’s romancin’ cause it’s too early for dancin’.” (multiple artists possible)
- “My glove compartment’s locked, so is the trunk in the back – and I know my rights, so you’re gonna need a warrant for that.”
- “I tried to tear them both apart, I felt a bullet in my heart.”
- “Why do you run, why do you hide from all she is?”
- “There’s a picture opposite me of my primitive ancestry.”
- “A big bowl of sauerkraut! Every single morning!”

#3 is “Beyond the Rim of the Starlight”, Gene Roddenberry. I can’t remember if anyone ever recorded the lyrics, though… I imagine someone did?
#10 is “Birdhouse in your soul,” They Might Be Giants.
I feel like there are two others I know, but I can’t place them…

10. “Birdhouse in Your Soul” by They Might Be Giants
I think I’ve heard at least a couple of the others, but that’s the only one I know.

John got there eleven minutes before me on #10, but I’d just like to say that, with the authentication process for comments, I didn’t see his when I posted.
